Multisite Inventory Management System with Live Stock Alerts
One inventory across every site with live stock alerts, plus the maintenance alerts, purchasing, visitors and daily checklists a plant runs on, on tablets instead of paper.
A manufacturing and production company with several branches needed one system its own staff could run the plant from: what is in stock and where, what needs fixing and who has been told, what was produced today, and what still needs signing off. Off-the-shelf systems covered pieces of that. This covers all of it, under one Microsoft 365 sign-in, on shared tablets on the floor.
It is built for one company today and configured to their plant, but every module is data-driven, so it can be set up for another plant or another customer without rewriting it.
Modules in production
- Inventory control with live stock alerts. Stock levels shared live between branches. One location sees what another has before ordering or moving product, and the right people are alerted when an item drops below its reorder level at any site.
- Machine maintenance alerts. A button on a floor tablet reaches maintenance by text, email, a SIP phone call, or an alert on the plant monitors, so a stopped line is a call to the right person, not a walk to find them.
- Production control. Tracks product from the line into walk-in cooler stock, so what was made and what is on hand always agree.
- Purchase order approval. A purchase order goes from the requester to the supervisor to the vendor, with each step recorded and nothing waiting in someone's inbox.
- Plant map. A live map of the plant with equipment and areas, and their status at a glance.
- Meeting room reservation. Book conference and meeting rooms from any device.
- Guest management. A visitor signs in at the front desk, a badge prints on the spot, the host is notified, and the visitor can check out by replying to an email or text. Also available on its own.
- Kiosk deployment and management. Roll out and manage the shared floor tablets and kiosks centrally, with PIN quick-switch so a shared device is always the right person.
- Daily plant checklist. Operators complete the daily operations checklist on a tablet, with the history kept and searchable.
- Label printing. Inventory labels printed on demand from the system.
In development
- Sales order to delivery. Order entry through picking, shipping and delivery confirmation.
- Accounting. Day-to-day accounting for the plant, replacing QuickBooks.
How it is built
Every screen is behind a permission table on the server; a screen nobody has been granted simply does not exist for them. Every change writes an audit row. Sign-in is the company's Microsoft work account. It runs in the client's managed environment, monitored and backed up by the same team that built it.
